A Glammed Up Face of the Day With Lancôme's Color Design Shadow & Liner Palette in Dancing Rose - Makeup and Beauty Blog
Commencement thing this morning time I told myself, "Karen, have note of the little things today," and I've taken annotation of some wonderful little tidbits throughout the course of my solar day (a hot cup tea, seeing a rainbow, catching Tabs looking actress beautiful), just I have to say…
Even though I didn't actually plan to go anywhere fancy today, I idea it might be fun to glam it up a piddling — ya know, for Tabs, and because information technology's Thursday.
It all started with the Lancôme Color Design Shadow & Liner Palette in Dancing Rose ($50) from the French Ballerine spring collection. One glance at that deep, plummy reddish purple in the middle, and I only had to get it on my lids, ASAP!
I used the sparkly light purple every bit a base of operations all over my optics, patted the pink shade on my lids, swept the plummy shade in my crease (creases?), and and then highlighted underneath my forehead bones with the low-cal opalescent pinkish beige.
So, I added a fat-bo-batty fly on my upper lash line with the deep blackish plum, woo hoo!
Glam eyeshadow deserves glam lashes, so I brought out the large guns, Katy Perry Lashes in Banging Beauty ($half-dozen.99). These falsies are cray, yo! I could barely lift my optics because they were then big and and then over the height. Definitely non for the faint o' heart.
Since the eyes were so shimmery, and so purple, and so BAM! — I tried to keep my cheeks and lips soft to balance things out.
On my cheeks, I swept soft matte peach blush on the apples, Dolce & Gabbana's Luminous Cheek Color in Apricot ($45). I planned to practice pink lips, so I figured that a peach shade on my cheeks would keep it from looking too matchy-matchy. Oh, by the way, this shade is a lovely everyday chroma if you like sun-kissed cheeks without any shimmer.
For the lips, I went dorsum to Lancôme spring and did a unmarried layer of a pinkish nude with Gloss in Dearest in 302 Rose Oscar ($27).
Tell me all about the makeup y'all wore today! Did you become glam? Please say yes!
Your friendly neighborhood beauty aficionado,
Karen
